Expanding Access to the Gator Nation The Distance and Continuing Education (DCE) unit provides proactive support for the Distance Learning mission of the University of Florida by coordinating resources for developing and administering distance learning courses and programs. The primary goal of DCE is to assist academic units in extending the academic access and excellence beyond the traditional boundaries of the main UF campus. DCE is centrally funded, so the support provided by DCE is free of charge. These services include: Course Production New Program Development (Market Viability Research) Marketing Plan Creation Program Support Enrollment Services Meeting & Conference Planning (Basic Service Level) DCE is located on the East Campus and is comprised of the Conference Department, Distance Learning Support Services, Flexible Learning, Professional Development and TREEO. DCE is a sub unit of the Office of the Associate Provost for Teaching and Technology, E-learning, and Distance Education.
