Eileen I. Oliver is currently Interim Dean in the Division of Continuing Education with an affiliate appointment as Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education. She is a member of the Board of Examiners for the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and on the Program Review Board for the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Her research interests are in the areas of literacy, composition pedagogy, multicultural literature, and access to higher education for non-traditional students. Dr. Oliver earned her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
